Sarah Michelle Gellar's Biography

Born on April 14th, 1977 in New York City, Sarah Michelle Gellar was discovered at the age of four, by a talent agent in a Restaurant. One of her first projects was an ad for Burger King, which she did in 1982 but before that she had starred in ‘An invasion of privacy’ as Jennifer Bianchi. A year later, she starred in ‘Over a Brooklyn bridge’ with Elliot Gould.

It was 1993 and Sarah had been cast in 2 TV series’, ‘Swans crossing’ and ‘All my children’, which won her her first Emmy Award. 1997 was however, one of the best years for her, and it reflected one of her biggest roles in her life. By this time, Sarah had already done several movies and was about to move on to famous TV Series, Buffy the Vampire Slayer. 1997 also saw her in 2 horror movies, ‘Scream’ and ‘I know what you did last summer’- which, on the set of, she first met her future husband, Freddie Prinze Jr.

In the year 1999, Sarah had done 2 movies. ‘She’s all that’, which she had a short part in (and also starred Freddie) won 8 awards, ‘Simply Irresistible’, and ‘Cruel Intentions’ which won 6 awards and 10 nominations.

2002- another year for Sarah. By this stage, she had done a few more appearances on some TV shows, and had done a few more movies, including ‘Harvard Man’ and ‘Lord of the piercing’. But one of her biggest roles, was in Children’s cartoon, turned real life movie, ‘Scooby Doo’, by which she played pink, popular and pretty, Daphne Blake- which won 3 awards, and several nominations. But no doubt, the highlight of the year was Sarah’s wedding to actor Freddie Prinze Jr. Sarah seemed to have taken a “break” from movies, until she made a comeback in 2004 with the sequel to ‘Scooby Doo’, ‘Scooby Doo: Monsters unleashed’ (which also won an award), but before that had finished her role in ‘Buffy’ and had moved on. Later that year, Sarah did another horror movie, ‘The Grudge’, which she played lead character, Karen Davis. ‘The Grudge’ only won 1 award but was nominated several times, which included the category, ‘Best horror movie’.

Sarah is now 29, and is still happily married to Freddie. No doubt, Sarah’s life has been very successful and we are sure she will continue that. It is only 2006 and Sarah has already filmed some movies all set to be out next year, including ‘The Grudge 2’, ‘A Girls guide to hunting and fishing’, and ‘Alice’.
